Is Sound the Most Influential Factor to the Success Or Failure of a Home Theater System?

This is something that has been on my mind for quite some time. For years I have been sure that my screen is the most vital component of my home theater system however it was just the other day after I installed my brand new Bose 7.1 system that I began to appreciate the importance of having a good sound setup.

It is all well and good to have a large screen projecting an amazing image but it is not until you have the right sound that you can truly enjoy your home theater system. The right setup of sound is what brings you into a movie and makes you feel as though you are right there in the action. When you hear the thump, thump, thump of a helicopter approaching from behind you, or bullets screaming past your ear so close you can almost feel the wind brush your face, you will know why home theatre lovers are so focused on getting the right sound for their setup.

There is just something extra special that quality sound provides to a movie watching experience and it is something that I have neglected for years as I have been far more concerned on image quality, my media centre and seating. I have watched over 10 movies since I installed my new sound system and these have been by far the most enjoyable I have watched in my setup.

I am not sure that sound alone is the most influential factor to the success or failure of a home theater system, but I do know that should not be overlooked and that a good system will reward you with that extra bit of quality that will add value to your movie watching experience.

So to all you home theater lovers holding back on the purchase of that elite level sound system I have a message for you shell out those dollars you will not regret it!
